-Buddhism- Sutra of the Great Accomplishment of the Maitreya.
Before the passing away of the Buddha, Ananda the principal disciple of the Buddha, asked the blessed one suppressing his tears, "Who will teach us when you are gone?" The blessed one replied, "I am not the first Buddha who came upon the Earth, nor shall I be the last. In due time, another Buddha will arise in the World, a holy one, a supremely enlightened one, endowed with wisdom in conduct, auspicious, knowing the Universe, an incomparable leader of men, a master of angels and mortals. He will reveal to you the same Eternal Truth which I have taught you. He will preach his religion, glorious in its origin, glorious at the climax and glorious at the goal in the spirit and in the letter. He will proclaim a religious life wholly perfect and pure, such as I now proclaim." Then Ananda said "How shall we know him?" The blessed one said "He will be known as Mettayya, which means, he whose name is Karuna -kindness." As predicted by the Buddha, Nava Jyothi Sri Karunakara Guru’s spiritual status is supreme. He cleanses the spirits of our ancestors and the deities we and they worshipped, by his spiritual brilliance according to God’s Will. According to their merit, some of these purified souls will be placed at appropriate places for rebirth, to form a new pure lineage in the coming generation. No other Acharya -spiritual preceptor- could ever do such cleansing of manes and deities for establishing a pure and virtuous lineage of human race, with ability and fortune devoid of the evil effects of past karmas or actions, as done by Nava Jyothi Sri Karunakara Guru. He reveals to his disciples through darshans -spiritual visions- and self experience the Eternal Truth. We can see the incomparable leader of men and master of all physical and astral planes, known by the name ‘Kindness’ or Karuna or Karunakara -the one who is the seat of Karuna- in Santhigiri Ashram in South India and know about him through self experience.
